Data Grant Program
Bridging the Gap Between Theoretical Science and Operational Entrepreneurship
Access the world’s most granular founder behavior dataset to power your next high-impact publication.
Real-World Data
The Challenge
At Supsindex, we understand that the biggest bottleneck for high-quality academic research is access to reliable, real-world data. While theoretical models abound, empirical data on early-stage founder behavior, decision-making under pressure, and team dynamics is notoriously difficult to capture.
We are changing that.
The Supsindex Data Grant Program is a strategic initiative designed to equip top-tier researchers, PhD candidates, and professors with exclusive access to our proprietary, anonymized datasets. We provide the raw fuel for your research; you provide the scientific rigor that drives the industry forward.
The Data: A Multi-Layered Scientific Gold Mine
We do not simply track demographics. Supsindex utilizes an AI-driven “Flight Simulator for Founders” to capture deep psychometric and behavioral metrics.
1. Conceptual Level
Derived from our FPA (Founder Potential Assessment) model, this data maps the “Knowledge Gaps” of founders. It tracks technical literacy, financial acumen, and industry-specific expertise, allowing researchers to correlate competence with venture survival.
Cognitive Level
Derived from our GEB (Growth and Expansion Behavior) model, this layer reveals the psychological architecture of the founder. It includes data on cognitive biases (e.g., overconfidence, sunk cost fallacy), risk perception, and resilience, offering a window into the “black box” of entrepreneurial thinking.
Behavioral Level
Derived from our EEA (Ecosystem Evaluation Assessment) and simulation tools, this data tracks how founders interact with their environment. It measures “Ecosystem Fit,” team cohesion, and reactions to simulated market shocks.
Who Should Apply?
This program is strictly vetted and designed for serious academic inquiry. We are looking for researchers who aim to publish in high-impact journals (e.g., Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Applied Psychology).
- Entrepreneurship & Management Scholars
Researchers studying startup failure prediction, venture capital decision-making, pivot strategies, and lean startup methodologies.
- I/O Psychologists
Scientists focused on founder resilience, the “Dark Triad” in leadership, team composition, and burnout predictors.
Cross-Disciplinary Applications
The depth of Supsindex data extends beyond traditional management studies. We welcome proposals from:
Behavioral Economics
To study irrational decision-making and heuristics in high-stakes environments.
Sociology
To analyze how social networks and institutional environments shape founder success.
Data Science
To build predictive models regarding startup survival and bankruptcy.
Educational Pedagogy
To validate new methods for teaching entrepreneurship and adult learning theories.
Economic Geography
To study regional innovation systems and the impact of location on performance.
Benefits for Researchers
By partnering with Supsindex, you solve the data collection problem and gain a competitive edge in the academic community:
Exclusive Data Access
Bypass years of data collection. Get immediate access to a live, longitudinal dataset of real-world founders.
Publication Support
We support your goal to publish. Our data is robust enough to withstand peer review in top-quartile journals.
Faculty Membership
Successful applicants may be invited to join the Supsindex Faculty Board, a prestigious network of experts that influences the future of our algorithms.
Real-World Impact
Your findings won’t just sit in a library; they will be used to refine our scoring logic, directly helping thousands of founders and investors make better decisions.
Governance & Expectations
To maintain the integrity of our intellectual property and the privacy of our users, all Data Grants are subject to the following strictures:
- Citation
All published papers must explicitly cite “Supsindex” as the data source.
- Ethical Compliance
Research must adhere to standard IRB (Institutional Review Board) guidelines regarding human subjects.
- Pre-Submission Review
Researchers must provide a copy of their final draft to Supsindex prior to journal submission to ensure data interpretation aligns with our variable definitions.
- Non-Compete
The data is granted for academic and scientific purposes only and cannot be used to build competing commercial assessment tools.
Submit Your Proposal
We invite you to submit a brief research proposal outlining your hypothesis, the specific data fields required, and your intended publication venue.
- Please Note
- This program is competitive.
- We reserve the right to accept or reject any proposal based on alignment with our strategic goals and ethical standards.
- The final decision regarding data release rests solely with the Supsindex Chief Scientific Officer (CSO).
